CS5 is obsolete software from almost 12 years ago and definitely NOT certified to run on Win 11 systems. I'm a professional graphic designer with my own business so I need access to both of these programs and I'd hate to have to perpetually use my old laptop to access my Photoshop be perfectly honest, I don't think this will ever work well for you.

I think it might just be that Windows 11 is still working out some kinks as it's still only a couple of months old, but I don't know if there are any other suggestions from anybody here that might be able to help. I don't know what could be causing this issue with photoshop when there was no issue with Illustrator.

I tried going onto my Adobe account and downloading the software from my products page to see if that would work better than the CD, that gave me the same runtime error message. I obviously tried restarting which didn't work, I've tried running the setup in compatability mode for Windows 7 because my old laptop was Windows 7 and it worked fine, that didn't work either. I tried downloading Photoshop with the CD and I keep getting a runtime error (screenshot below). I downloaded Illustrator fine from the CD, took about five minutes. I just bought a new laptop and want to put these programs on the new laptop.
